ZF Trading launches aftermarket range of steering racks and pumps New ZF Parts brand offers premium performance and safety while conserving energy and natural resources ZF Trading UK Ltd has announced the launch of ZF Parts, a new brand that adds passenger car steering racks and pumps to its leading portfolio of automotive aftermarket components. The range will initially offer remanufacture of ZF original equipment (OE) units for prestige marques. The remanufacturing process begins with complete disassembly of each unit, parts washing and inspection. Parts that comply with the original specification are reused, while those near or outside the wear limit are replaced with new ZF components. The unit is then rebuilt according to the latest ZF specifications, recalibrated and performance tested to the same criteria as for a new unit before release to the market. On average, approximately 80 per cent of parts are reused in the remanufactured item, representing a considerable saving in the energy consumed and CO2 emitted during raw materials processing and manufacturing of the original item.
